We visited this Spoons immediately following our charming trip to the Crown and Sceptre, an easy bus ride away. This Spoons is located next to Brixton Station, handy for our journey home.
It was busy, like a beehive, and when we popped in for a £3.09 Kronie and following our magical trip to the Crown and Sceptre it felt a dismal disappointment.
This pub was apparently a long-standing shoe shop which first opened in 1909, taking its name from Beehive Place to the rear of these premises. It was absolutely rammed and it was only after a sad cigarette on the cold street that we could find a table.
The staff were friendly and polite but something about this Spoons just left us cold, so unless we happened to be in Brixton and absolutely desperate for a drink, we cannot see ourselves returning.
