This was the first Spoons we’ve ever been in and genuinely feared for our lives.
We visited after a trip to the beautiful nearby Eltham Palace.

This spoons gets its name from its former bank usage.
The novelty of being in the country’s smallest spoons was exciting, but we were admonished the moment we stepped through the door. A table of grumpy old men were the indignant, they were trying to watch some running horseys and we were in their way.
Paraphernalia from the nearby Ladbrokes was abound and many inhabitants seemed very intoxicated, despite the fact it was only about 4 in the afternoon.
Bitch at the bar was loath to serve us and neglected us until we cheerfully waved. Our Kronies were a very cheap £3.25, and we downed them over a fag in the pitiful little outside smoking area.

The loos here were a death trap. A standard Spooner struggling up and down these incredibly precarious steps every time they need to empty their bladder would be a great premise for a Japanese style reality show.

We left to find a pub to watch the football in. We certainly shan’t be returning to this branch.
